Spanish Village

Drawing its atmosphere from the meeting of precise lines and richly worked surfaces. Slender black frames sit alongside faceted timber cabinetry, patterned floors and mirrors with moulded edges. Each brings a different scale of detail, giving the rooms a sense of depth that becomes apparent gradually, through movement and closer observation.

Curtains soften the thresholds between spaces, while shaded lamps cast light across pale walls and into the recesses of dark joinery. Doorways frame partial views of the rooms beyond, allowing the interior to reveal itself in measured sequences. There is a sense of familiarity in these compositions, where decorative detail and the ordinary objects of domestic life occupy the same considered space.
